Wedding Ornaments

Last Summer I got a commission to make some puzzle aficionada an
ornament for their wedding table. It was originally going to be for the
cake, but it was unclear whether the icing would damage the wood,
(despite using a baby-safe lacquer) but I was still honoured to create a
unique decoration for their special day.

Cat skull earring (Fimo)

A friend commissioned me to make an earring in the shape of a cat skull -it had to be small enough to not be too heavy, and of course it would only be half the fun if it was made of plain old white Fimo, so I used glow in the dark material.
Initial sculpting was fiddly as it was, being that the model is about 2cm wide and 2.5cm long, so after baking, I went at it with the Dremel (mmm, that dentist feeling) for some finer detail, and was quite pleased with the results.

GoT Wacom Competition

Wacom has been hosting a competition in celebration of Season 7 of Game of Thrones, where a winner will eventually bag an Intuos Pro Medium.
This week's theme was Disney, where I took the chance to roll Daenerys and Drogon into a Beauty and the Beast setting.

Finished!

There are no doubt a couple of details I missed, but the mural is more or less done. You -and your kids- can experience it with the ball bath on Sunday, May 8th at the grand opening of the Kindercafe Fräulein Knopfauge in Oldenburgerstrasse 40, Berlin.

There is also a crowdfunding page to support the initial setup here at:

Any help you could offer would be totally appreciated - the goal has almost been reached!

Another Session

Filled in a lot of detail today, plus polished some parts with which I
wasn't happy. It's starting to come together, but I'd like one more full
day to work on it if I'm to be done by Sunday. (That was a hint!)

Wooden bird

A quick side project I've been working on while the kids have their
afternoon nap -wooden cutouts of local birds detailed with a wood
burning tool. I wish I had a scroll saw. And somewhere I can get dusty...
